La Vida’s second Leaders Forum provided a digital meeting place for all our projects on 20th March, enabling attendees across eight countries to exchange a broad range of ideas, experience and advice.

Representatives from 13 of La Vida’s projects took part in the online event, including our three newest beneficiaries – Project Somos in Guatemala, Plant your Future in Peru and Healing Venezuela, our first project in Venezuela.

After presentations from La Vida’s Trustees on topics such as safeguarding, finance, grants and governance, project leaders were invited into several ‘breakout rooms’ for in-depth discussions on individual challenges and solutions. Ideas were shared on a diverse range of issues, including how best to build an effective board and ways to implement financial controls.

Participants appreciated the opportunity for dialogue and described the event as “interesting and engaging, with lots of relevance to our organisation. I enjoyed hearing from other NGOs.”.
